Solocal Group UK’s Local Ideas Blog wins major prize at prestigious UK Blog Awards

Blog deemed to be ‘most innovative’ by a panel of leading industry experts following an immensely popular public vote

London, United Kingdom, 22 April 2015Solocal Group UK, a leading provider of  marketing solutions for the online to in-store customer journey,  has scooped a top prize at the UK Blog Awards, after the company’s Local Ideas blog won in the ‘most innovative’ category.

After an initial public vote in which a record-breaking 42,000 public votes were cast, Solocal Group UK faced a panel of expert judges and tough competition from ten other finalists. Each blog was judged on its design, style, content, marketing and usability, before Local Ideas was announced as the overall winner at Friday’s ceremony.

Launched in July 2014 by Solocal Group UK, Local Ideas brings together the business community by providing a platform for creative initiatives and inspiration in retail and service organisations.

With multiple contributions published weekly across 26 business sectors, the blog enables professionals to share success stories and creative ideas surrounding a wide variety of innovations, which impact positively on the customer experience. These innovations include the use of new technologies, fresh marketing initiatives, disruptive retail concepts, inventive in-store services and forward-thinking advertising campaigns.

Local Ideas also highlights the ROI achieved by businesses, allowing visitors to see the positive impact adopting a creative approach can have, whether this in the form of an increase in sales, profits, or customer satisfaction ratings.
