PerformanceIN – New Ad Metric Affords Payout on Duration of Site Visit

A new display ad commission model which allows advertisers to only pay publishers when users surpass a certain amount of time on their site has been launched.

Guaranteed Visit Duration from Solocal Group, a provider of display ad solutions, gives brands access to a different kind of banner ad space across 50,000 sites. From there, whether or not they pay for their clicks will rest on the amount of time a user spends on their landing page, which is determined before the interaction is made.

Talking to PerformanceIN, Adrien Lepage, global sales director at Solocal Group, claimed the new payout structure takes inspiration from another of the company’s services – entitled double-click – which only triggers a payout once users have interacted with an ad and an element of the landing page.

Mobile Marketing – Horyzon Media Partners with Music Streaming Service Deezer

International music streaming service Deezer has partnered with Horyzon Media to sell display advertising space across its desktop, mobile and tablet apps.

Horyzon, the display advertising arm of multichannel marketers Solocal Group secured the exclusive contract following a competitive pitch and will support Deezer’s digital advertising sales across Europe, excluding France.

Deezer currently has 16m active users, 5m of them paying subscribers, in more than 180 countries, and hosts 30m tracks for streaming. Horyzon will use the various formats Deezer can offer, such as masthead, homepage takeover, sponsored cards and audio break ads, to deliver localised and targeted campaigns to its users.

Following a competitive pitch, Horyzon Media secured the exclusive contract to sell display advertising space across Deezer’s desktop, mobile and tablet apps – which has over 30 million users.

Deezer offers advertisers a range of formats such as app masthead, homepage takeover, sponsored cards, audio break ads or special operations.

Horyzon Media, which counts eBay, Bild, Mappy and Accor Hotels, among its clients, will work with advertisers and media agencies to deliver localised and targeted campaigns to Deezer users.
